We invite you to a real musical feast at the Fryderyk Concert Hall. In the beautiful interior of the Fryderyk, lit only by candlelight, we will listen to a guitar recital performed by the excellent Krzysztof Meisinger. The concert will be held with Jagoda Sokolowska - O'Donovan - soprano.
Krzysztof Meisinger - guitar
According to critics and music lovers, he is one of the most outstanding and charismatic contemporary guitarists. He performs both at home and abroad, in the most renowned concert halls, such as Musicverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, TWON in Warsaw, Tokyo International Forum and Berlin Philharmonic. He collaborates with prominent soloists and ensembles, such as Sumi Jo, the Berlin Philharmonic Quartet, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Sinfonia Varsovia, Agnieszka Rechlis, Iwona Sobotko.
He has 10 solo albums to his credit. Founder and Artistic Director of the MEISINGER Music Festival (since 2017), recipient of the "Gloria Artis" Medal and the "Pro Arte" award.
Jagoda Sokolowska - O'Donovan - soprano.
She graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Krakow. She is a laureate of first prizes of Polish and international music competitions. She has performed at all major music festivals in Poland. She has also represented Poland at music festivals and stages around the world. She is a soloist, chamber musician , as well as a cultural manager.
The eminent Polish critic and humanist Jerzy Waldorff wrote: "Responsibility for the state of musical life of Polish stages dictates that I address these few words to you, co-creators of Polish culture... I recommend to you this exceptionally talented artist... an outstanding musical personality."
The concert will be a two-part recital lasting about 60 minutes, based on the idea of salon musical meetings popular in the 19th century. During the intermission of the concert you will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine.
